
Kent D. Abell- President & Owner
Kent started his career as an electrician working for a small company in Jeffersonville, Indiana over 45 years ago.
He left in 1972 to learn more about High Voltage work at Louisville Gas & Electric and has continued his career by successfully owning his own electrical business, in which his father Russell Abell supported unconditionally.
Kent and ABTECH are members of Louisville IEC and continues not only to work with his hands but teach others the electrical trade, which he believes is becoming a dying breed of tradesmen.
It is his desire to help and support a younger generation be successful and to follow their dreams just as his Father encouraged him. Kent and his wife of 25 years have dedicated their lives in building ABTECH while residing in Jeffersonville Indiana.

William Cyrus, PE - Partner & Managing Member
William graduated from the University of Louisville Speed School with his Bachelor and Master degree in Electrical Engineering. Prior to graduation he worked for a startup software company where he learned about putting together electrical systems and the importance of facility management and maintenance. Upon graduating he proceeded to work for multiple engineering consulting firms where he learned his craft on the design side of things from $150MM hospital design down to the smallest retail design-build project.
In 2014 he started Cyrus Engineering, which later became Louisville Engineering once his partnered with G.J. Abell.
William lives in Louisville with his wife, Kimberly, and his two children.

G. J. started his career when he was 16 years old, as a student at St. Xavier, working in his Father’s electrical business. This encouraged him to learn more about the electrical industry and specifically the newest technology associated with it. It is his belief that by serving a customer properly, he can keep that customer forever. After electrical training through the IEC, he has spent the last 9 years working for a Facility Management Software company. He has over 18 years of design, constructions, facility maintenance and management experiance.
He is a family man and has two children. His desire is not only to follow his father's legacy but leave one for his children.
G. J. started his career when he was 16 years old, as a student at St. Xavier, working in his Father’s electrical business.
